A Glorious Manifestation
On April 3, 1836, as we gathered in the Kirtland Temple to worship, the heavens opened, and we were blessed with a sacred vision. The Lord Himself appeared to us in glory, standing upon the pulpit.

The Savior’s Testimony
Jesus Christ, radiant in light, declared:

  • “I am your Savior, the Redeemer of the world. I have accepted this house—you’ve built it in faith and sacrifice, and it is holy unto Me. My name will rest here, and My glory will fill this place.”
  • He promised peace to His people, affirming His covenant with them and blessing them for their obedience.

Moses, Elias, and Elijah Appear

  • Moses: The prophet Moses appeared, committing the keys of the gathering of Israel. This power will help bring My people home, gathering them from every corner of the earth.
  • Elias: Elias came, restoring the gospel of Abraham and the blessings of the covenant made with the fathers of faith. Through this, families and nations will be blessed.
  • Elijah: Finally, Elijah appeared, fulfilling prophecy. He restored the keys to seal families together for eternity, uniting the hearts of fathers and children. This work prepares the world for the great and glorious day of the Lord.

A Witness of God’s Power
This sacred event affirms the reality of God’s plan. The power and authority of heaven are now on earth, and the work of gathering, sealing, and redeeming is moving forward.
